About Us

Bergville is a retirement village, for active people of over 50 or older.

It was established in 1997 and is registered as a Sectional Title Scheme.

Central to the village is the community centre: a building with an interesting history.  It dates back to the 1940’s when it was built by the Palotti Sisters as a children’s hospital.

It was completely refurbished during the development of the Village, and now houses a post-operative hospital and Bergville’s frail care facility; as well as our offices, dining-room and kitchen.

The latter caters for the hospital and frail-care patients, besides providing meals to residents on request – although many residents still enjoy cooking for themselves at home.

We have gradually extended and re-decorated our facilities to include a lounge, library, fully-equipped hairdressing salon, and a hobbies and games room.
